Crystal & Gilt Bronze Inkwell with Quill Rest

A late 19th-century crystal inkwell framed by gilt bronze garlands tied with delicate ribbon bows. Its rectangular base incorporates a pen rest at the front, while a domed, hinged lid decorated with foliage and blossoms covers the ink reservoir. A beautifully detailed reminder of the handwritten letter, equally lovely on a working desk or displayed among treasured books.
