Leather Writing Desk Blotter Folder with Gilt Crest & Border

A late 19th-century leather writing blotter folder, its warm brown cover decorated with a delicate gilt border, ornamental corners and a central crest-like medallion. Inside, softly patterned dusty pink moiré panels surround paper leaves used to absorb excess ink and prevent handwritten letters from smudging. A handsome accessory for a writing desk, with richly worn leather and intricate gold detailing.

Please note surface wear to the leather and age-related spotting to the paper leaves, as pictured.
